Dave H Dxxxxx@Vxxxx.com 6/29/98 5:01AM If you look carefully in the Tube Amp Book you can see that the B+ winding is 280-0-280 at 160mA (90VA). You can add up the heater current for the number tubes you are using. I only used 2 12AX7s and a SS bridge rect in mine with a transformer rated at 275V 300mA, 6.3V 4.5A. It puts out about 40W. I don’t miss the tube rect as there is loads of compression. The OT is 4k p-p but because it’s class A it will have to be able to handle 200mA DC. These things run hot so make sure you have good ventilation or use a fan. The fan in mine has just failed so I converted to fixed bias. Is that sacrilege ? It still sounds great and it doesn’t overrun the tubes now. Dave
